The World Nineball Tour are delighted to announce the inaugural Saudi Junior Championship, set to run alongside the 2024 World Pool Championship from June 3-7 at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal City Sports Hall, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
For the first time in the history of the World Pool Championship, the Junior Championship will see 16 young cue stars aged 17 and under, compete for a remarkable prize fund of $20,000.
The Saudi Junior Championship kicks off with a 16-player double elimination format, narrowing down to the final 8 players who will then advance into the knockout stage, where the Junior Champion will be crowned.
Matchroom’s partnership with the Saudi Arabian Billiard & Snooker Federation (SABSF) and the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Sport aims to deliver a sharp focus and commitment to growing the game and encouraging grassroots awareness in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
As part of Matchroom’s commitment to growing Nineball and offering opportunities to all, this event marks the pinnacle of Matchroom’s junior events on the 2024 calendar, alongside SVB Junior Open in Atlantic City and the Vietnam Junior Open in Hanoi.
