Joshua Filler was in top form during day two of Premier League Pool at US 1 Billiards, West Haven, Connecticut, live on Matchroom.live, DAZN in the United States and networks around the world, winning all three of his matches to become the new table leader.

‘The Killer’ wouldn’t drop a rack until his third game, kicking off the day in style with a comprehensive 5-0 thrashing of defending champion and WNT #1 Francisco Sanchez Ruiz. A statement victory to open the day’s play on Table One.

When playing at the top of his game, there is little to nobody in the world who can stop the German, a lesson the World Nineball Tour’s top-ranked Filipino Michael Feliciano would cruelly find out. X44 was dispatched in a 5-0, 18 minute thrashing as the 26-year-old Filler lived up to his ‘Killer’ nickname.

He would end the evening session at the top of the league after defeating US Open Pool champion Ko Ping Chung in a hill-hill thriller. With just four racks dropped all day, a Rack Difference of +13 by close of play placed him ahead of Poland’s Wiktor Zielinski, who matched him on five victories.

Zielinski matched Filler’s feat of an unbeaten record on Monday, carrying impressive form into his first two matches on day two. In a top-quality all-European affair, 2021 Premier League Pool champion Albin Ouschan was beaten 5-3. 19-year-old Filipino prodigy Bernie Regalario was next in line as the Polish potter extended his record to 5-0 by way of a 5-2 win.

With a target on his back as the man to beat, Sanchez Ruiz would stop the run in impressive fashion, claiming a 5-2 success to take himself into the top six with four wins.

Nguyen Anh Tuan achieved a similar achievement in his first win of the week, beating World Pool Master Ko Pin Yi 5-3 for the Chinese Taipei star's first loss of the week – and a first for the Vietnamese star.

Spanish Open Pool champion Dang Jin Hu, competing in his first World Nineball Tour event since securing success in Lugo last June, would also score his first point of the week. David Alcaide was the victim of a tense hill-hill affair, with the Spanish veteran left to rue missed chances as an unwanted 0-6 record extends into the third day of play on Wednesday.

Premier League Pool returns on Wednesday, 20 March, from 11 EST on Matchroom.live, DAZN in the United States, and networks around the world. Find where you can watch in your country here.

For the first time in the event’s history, spectators are in attendance at US 1 Billiards, West Haven, Connecticut. General Admission tickets are available on the door and start from $40.
