Considered as one of the best of its generation, the Scottish professional pool player wants to reach new heights with the support of the world’s leading billiard cloth and ball manufacturers.
Born in Glasgow in 1988 and son of a professional pool player, Jayson Shaw attended his father’s tournaments from an early age. He started playing for the Scotland’s juniors and quickly knew he wanted to become a professional player. After winning the junior and youth pool championships, his passion for pool began to take most of his time, and his path to becoming a professional player was inevitable.
Jayson Shaw started playing in the US early in his career and also participates in international tournaments. 2016 is a turning point with major wins in 9-ball including the Kuwait Open and the Mosconi Cup for the first time. The following year, he wins the US Open and the Mosconi Cup once again, which he won 5 times so far, including twice as MVP. He won the International 9-ball Open in 2019 and 2022. Regarding his other main achievements, he won 9 times the 9-ball Turning Stone Classic and 3 times the 10-ball Derby City Classic.
In October, Jayson won the inaugural Hanoi Open Pool Championship in an incredible manner: down 10-5 during the final against Albin Ouschan, he finally defeated him 13-12. He is also qualified for the 30th edition of the Mosconi Cup, which will take place in December in London.
